Built in 1886 by David W. Howie, who made  his fortune in the Coal industry, this gracious Queen Ann home used Milwaukee's famous Cream City brick. Manderley is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for outstanding architectural significance.

The Historic Concordia Neighborhood where Manderley is located has experienced a resurgence of interest and restoration and contains many stunning Victorian and Edwardian homes.

This spacious home is a magnificent tribute to the Style and grace which defined Milwaukee in the late 1800s. You will experience the depth of history as you feel the warmth and splendor of Manderley's glowing fireplaces and fine intricate woodwork. With meticulously hand painted walls, pleasing furnishings and fine Persian Carpets, this home is sure to be a comfortable home away from home during your stay in Milwaukee. Be sure to spend some time in our award winning floral gardens. Enjoy the peaceful sound of our trickling fountains and the beauty of this oasis in the heart of Milwaukee.

Be surrounded by a sense of the past in the many common areas, or relax on the spacious front porch. Sit on the swing while reading your favorite book, or make plans for a day of exploring the many treasures of Milwaukee County. Perhaps even indulge in homemade delicacies served in the afternoon or evening.

Whatever your pleasure is, the Manderley Bed and Breakfast Inn would like to be your home away from home.
